from the NYT, in regard favorite yummy treat, soft serve ice cream;
mentioned therein is Berkeley ice cream emporium Sketch which yourstruly has every intention to visit and indulge in much sampling (MUCH !), after which we shall report to ye here and include photos of the expedition.
(seems the sketch folks offer up a webloggy thing too...)

Mmmmmm. So, this same day, after a fine BBQ & wine in the rod-wide Brooklyn yard, I headed up to the corner for some provisions and on the way back down the street was passed by an ice cream truck that I've noticed in the neighborhood before. Driven by a beatific stoner who never tops out much over 10 or 15 miles per hour and who has the best ding-ding-chip music playing through his speakers. Reminded me right away about 'dis here post. Then the truck stopped halfway between the returning me and the house, and... what could I do? First custard cone I've had in years. Mighty fine, Mr. JuJu, mighty fine.
Yo yo, just checking in to say that we've now had the new soft custard swirl at our favorite Dekalb Ave Mexican place - Bonita - and it's served with salt & chocolate shavings and it is sassysaltysummeryyummy. Say yes!
