He was very excited about carrots.

Hey, the old guy who demonstrated and sold the vegetable peelers in Union Square died on Sunday. I'll miss seeing him -- he always drew a big crowd, especially on Greenmarket days.

Oh, no, one of the greats. Could have had a role in the current administration if only we'd thought to bring him to their attention. Posted about Joe Ades back in July...
