d a m n . . .

well, well, well,
Time Mag pretty much nails it, eh?
the Decade from Hell;
and yourstruly couldn't agree more, 'specially most of the last couple of years. Dreadful months on end, one after another. Not so sure things are going to get much better soon.

OK, yes, that all really did suck. As I clicked through the images of their top 10, the trade tower hit made me catch my breath. Maybe I forgot that was this decade. Or forgot other people know about it.

Still, this was the decade I started making wine and baking bread. And we're gonna kick off the oh tens with sausage making. Then cheese making. Then bunker building. Above water line. Away from tall buildings.

jessjessjess,
one needs to be reminded of the more positive aspects of a dismal and dreary decade, 8 years of the cad-ministration and all the deep doo doo that we were left mired u to our our chinny chin chins in...
dear pal o'mine, mineowndarnedself thankful for things too, and very thankful for the gentle reminder of seeking the positive, rather than remaining enmeshed in negativity and contemplation of same. Me gotz to think about incorporating bread baking into me own repertoire as well (i leave the winemaking to those of better temperament and patience than me ol' weary boned self...)
a happy new year to us all!
